Weight Maintenance & Long-Term Use

Are there withdrawal symptoms with GLP-1 agonists?

Not withdrawal in the medical sense (no seizures, tremors, etc.), but you will notice changes. Appetite returns—often strongly—within 1-2 weeks of stopping. Some people experience rebound hunger that feels more intense than before treatment. Food noise (constant thoughts about eating) comes back. Blood sugar may rise if you're diabetic. These aren't withdrawal symptoms; they're the return of the condition the medication was managing. Having a plan for this transition is important.
