Reconstitution

How do I reconstitute peptide vials?

  1. Remove the plastic cap from the vial (if present) and swab the rubber stopper with an alcohol wipe.
  2. Draw the desired amount of Hospira BAC water into a syringe.
  3. Insert the needle through the rubber stopper and slowly inject the BAC water, aiming the stream along the inside wall of the vial (not directly onto the powder).
  4. Do NOT shake. Gently roll or swirl the vial until the powder dissolves into a clear liquid.
  5. If powder is stuck to the bottom, wait a few minutes and gently swirl again. [Tip] Pressure tip: To prevent BAC water from shooting in like a "super soaker," either vent the vial with a separate needle or inject an equal volume of air into the vial before adding the BAC water.
