Should I adjust my protein intake while on GLP-1 therapy?

Yes—increase it. When you lose weight rapidly, you lose both fat and muscle. Adequate protein intake (commonly recommended at 0.7-1.0g per pound of goal body weight) helps preserve muscle. Since GLP-1 medications suppress appetite, you may need to be intentional about prioritizing protein at every meal. Many community members use protein shakes, Greek yogurt, or other high-protein foods to hit their targets even when appetite is low. This is arguably the single most important dietary adjustment while on these medications.
