GLP-1 agonists slow gastric emptying by design—that's part of how they reduce appetite. In most people this is mild and temporary. There have been reports of more persistent delayed gastric emptying (gastroparesis), but it's unclear whether these represent true drug-induced gastroparesis or unmasking of a pre-existing condition. Symptoms include severe bloating, fullness after tiny meals, nausea, and vomiting hours after eating. If these persist or worsen despite dose adjustment, consult a doctor. In most cases, symptoms resolve after stopping or reducing the dose.
