Injection site reactions (ISRs) are fairly common, even with brand-name products. They can be caused by pH, bacteria, endotoxins, osmolality, or individual sensitivity. They typically look and itch like a bug bite and resolve in a day or two. Treat with a cold compress and Benadryl if needed. Some members report ISRs appearing for a few injections and then never again.
